We were there during the weekend, it was very crowded. Prefer Shinjuku Gyoen.
NO
Pre-registration is required, but anyone can use it. At the time of registration, I think that there is a confirmation of having rabies vaccination. The enclosure is divided into large dogs and small and medium sized dogs.
It will be yellow

There are many places to where you can sit and work, but there's no place to charge your devices.
Yes
There is Parking and it is paid but not sure on the price
You need permission to shoot to make it bigger.
Free and brilliant with chilled atmosphere in February, don't know how long it is there for but there was a piano with very talented pianists adding to experience. Would recommend going twice, once during the day and once after Sunset
Free to go to the top floor and get a nice view of Tokyo.
The view was great! I went when it was almost sunset and it was beautiful. I managed to get in after queueing for less than half an hour. The place is clean and spacious. There is a small cafe and also a souvenir shop there. Come here for a free bird's eye view of Tokyo.
I came for meeting here several times, on matters related to Sustainable Energy and climate change.Very nice, knowledgable and polite staffs.
Free of charge, you can go and enjoy the sky view. There is a security check at the entrance. On the top of the tower, there are waiters to help you in case of need. There are also some souvenir shops over there.
Best Tokyo City view at sunset and night....Observation is free with an election if 200+ meters....You can have a view if sky tree .... Tokyo tower lighted at night mode.... Stadium.... Yoyogi park .... Shrine... Empress palace views. .
Staff are friendly and helpful. The view above is great. The set meals are within affordable range (from 600 yen to 1000 yen ish)
Very good place to have a view of whole city. It's very beautiful.
I want to visit this place , but is it open right now? Please let me confirm .though some of tourist spot is closed but many of spot already open their services
This is a MUST if you come to Tokyo or near Shinjuku!!! I didn't realize how big the city was until we came here. They only let a certain amount of people up top at a time so it's not too crowded.
The building itself is not an exciting focal point. But going up to the viewing area is awesome! It's free to go up and gives you some of the best views of Tokyo.
Great building and fantastic design!! The building inside is complex with lots of interesting things to see!! 👍😊
It's not often one gets FREE passage to see the city from one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. Ugh, in New York City I paid around $60 CDN to go up the Empire State Building! But here I am after taking an elevator up to the 45th floor Observation Floor. It is a cloudy day but nonetheless, very eye popping and my once in a lifetime experience. Now, on to discovering other sights of Shinjuku...
Amazing! Nowhere near the lines or price of Sky Tree with spectacular views. We truly enjoyed the moment overlooking our favorite city in the world.
Absolutely. Must visit place. I wasn't sure if I should go. But I visited and was thrilled to see entire Tokyo city. Amazing 360° views..
A government building which has a great view from the top. Sometimes we can see Fuji San from here 👍👍👍
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is your free way to get an incredible view from the city. Opening hours are generous, but do keep in mind that there's often a queue to get in. The only downside is that it can be busy at times and at night when it gets dark, the reflection on the windows from the lights inside don't improve the quality of your pictures.
Thank You Japan.....for building prayer room for muslim.... May Allah give you happy live, protective and hidayah aamiin
A great place to go with with free access to the observatory overlooking the sky tree, Tokyo tower, yoyogi park and even Mt Fuji on a clear day (like the day I went!)There’s a beautiful piano installed in the cafe now and locals just queue up and play randomly. It was such a beautiful place with great views, great music and just An enjoyable place to be.
I like the building and the Tokyo government too -- people there are very nice and helpful. Proud to be a Tokyoite :-)
Fantastic views of Tokyo with a nice little gift shop. It’s incredible that it’s free to get city views like this, and the wait was not bad at all. Well worth the stop!
A great scenery from the top of the metropolitan government office. Live piano performance by visitors also impressive.
A great place for a free view of Tokyo city. I was lucky to be there on a clear day where I could see Mt Fuji in the distance. Worthwhile going to both observation decks to see all sides of the city.
It's free and a fab observation tower. Uniquely it has a grand piano that public performers line up and play. They create a great atmosphere.
This building gets five stars, if you want a FREE observatory in Tokyo. The waiting times at the elevators can quite long some times, but once you get to the top, it is worth it. As far as I'm concerned, the views are spectacular, especially of Mount Fuji. Most of Tokyo's major landmarks are visible from the decks. And it is open till quite late too, so you can enjoy some great night views! The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a great place to go.
Excellent views of Tokyo, both day and night. The process of visiting is smooth and well run. Wait times very substantially during the day, ranging from a few minutes to 40+ minutes. If line is long, consider returning later.
Absolute must see if you're visiting Tokyo. This offers one of the best views in the city, and not only that, but it's completely free! Arguably better than Tokyo Tower or the Skytree as there's a lot less waiting and queuing.
After trying to visit the observatory on a 1st Tuesday of the month (closed) we persisted and visited again on a sunny day. Cuing took 30 minutes to get into the elevator to the 45ft floor. And there it was... Mt. Fuji on the horizon! Fantastic views on the city. Also a selection of not-so-tacky souveniers and Olimpic Games merchandise. Recommended!
Both towers have FREE observation floors. They alternate the open tower depending on the day of the week. Amazing views in all directions. You can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. I was in the south tower and it has a little gift/snack shop, clean restrooms, water fountains, plenty of seating, and free guides who amble around and can walk you through the sites. There's even a grand piano that anyone can play. Stamp collectors take note, there is a stamp station up here! Make sure to bring something to stamp on. If you forget, you can do what I did and buy a post card for a few hundred yen and use that.
This is a great alternative to Tokyo Tower & even Tokyo Skytree if you don’t want to pay for a view. It’s a great view from here and the best part is that it’s free. With good weather you’ll be able to see Mount Fuji, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower amongst other things
Opens at 9. Get there early as queues form very fast....but do move quickly it has to be said. It's free with great views, Cafe and gift store. There is a small Tokyo Olympics presentation on the ground floor that has the original Olympic Flag.
When we reached the top, a volunteer offered to give us a tour of the skyline in English. Take advantage of this opportunity. The tour provided more backstory to what we were looking at. It is free to take the elevator and have the English tour. Expect 30-45 minutes if you speak with the volunteer guide. We waited about 20 minutes in line at noon. (You can also play at a piano if you want to show off your skills.)
Fantastic! 45th floor! Live piano, souvenir shop, fancy toilet....... and free! Worth the waiting.
This is a building in Shinjuku.A very tall building rises symmetrically in the sky, which is very beautiful. This building has an observation room, and the view of Tokyo seen from it was very beautiful.
Only the South viewing deck is open (due to corona I think). Though the view is great, there are some maps with QR codes so that one can read about the different buildings that can be seen. There is a gift shop as well. On the 1st floor there is also a tourist information center where the staff was very helpful and gave us informations about other things to do in Tokyo. Great place to visit, especially that it’s free!
The view is amazing. It's free. They have free wifi and a very calm cafeteria where you can stay as long as you wish and even stay there to do some freelance work or just to relax and read a book. That's really amazing that such a great place like this one is free. If in Shinjuku you definitely must go.
Only saw it from bottom since there was a huge line of at least an hour. Therefore couldn’t had the chance to climb up.... building is still nice from bottom anyways. But I guess the view is nice since many peeps are queuing.
You can enjoy Tokyo City view from top of the building and it's free you should visit at time of sunset and you can also see Mount Fuji of the sky is clear
Brilliant! Amazing free city skyline views from the top of this slick government building. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. We were blessed with a crisp, clear day.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (東京都庁, Tōkyō Tochō) in Shinjuku is often visited by tourists for its free observation decks which provide good panoramic views of Tokyo and beyond. The 243 meter tall building has two towers, and each houses an observatory at a height of 202 meters. It had been the tallest building in Tokyo until it was overtaken by the Midtown Tower in 2007.
Nice place to enjoy the sunset and skyscrapers. It provides a great view of the city and the surrounding. The waiting area to get to the lift is well managed, even if there are many tourists, the line moving fast.Go there during sunset, it is amazing view with the city lights.
This place is great if the weather is clear. Queue for the elevator to the observation and deck and enjoy the view. They have cafe and souvenir shop at the deck.
I might be a bit biased, but it is my favourite building in the world! The observatory has some spectacular views of Tokyo to offer! And it's free to get up there~
Very easy and quick access for free to the 45th floor observatory which gives you an almost 360 view of the city and skyline. We went at night and got to see the beautiful lights of the city. Highly recommend as an alternative to pay-to-access sites as the view is just as good and it's free.
the view is great. You can see many places, but unfortunately i came during a rainy day, so the view is not very satisfying, but I believe the view from this place must be very beautiful during a clear day. Definitely gonna come back. It's free tho! you just need to patiently wait in line. Even if I can't really enjoy the view at the moment, but I can enjoy do eye-shopping there since there's a shop and cafe as well.
A great place to see an amazing view of Tokyo, and it's free. You line up downstairs for the elevator, but the wait is not long. Up at the viewing floor there are 360 views and a cafe and gift shop with reasonably priced items. When I visited in July 2019, there was also live classical music being played in the cafe.
Was a little worried that this would not be open on a Sunday but it appears to be! Was great and free entrance. Just had to wait in line for a little bit (~20-30mins) then we’re ushered upstairs in the lift. Amazing few of all the city, you can see all around but are still inside the building. Bonus: there’s even a piano up there that people can play which can really make it a nice atmosphere!
Good view of Tokyo.. safety precautions are taken during this time because of Corona
Great free viewing deck on 45th floor. Mt Fuji easily visible on a clear day. For an even better viewing point don't miss to checkout Shibuya Sky.
It is a MUST to visit Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. 360 view of Tokyo city from the top and it is free!
